  Happy New Year! The day after Christmas I approached two Jehovah's Witnesses and asked them their reasoning for not celebrating Christmas. My goal was not to get them to believe celebrating Christmas is acceptable but rather for them to see how they carry a double standard.  Jehovah's Witnesses are quick to call out Christendom for its supposed false teaching and pagan doctrines. However, what is considered a false teaching for other religions is simply a mistake or error when it's taught by the Watchtower. Secondly, if we take a look at the teachings JW's held during the time Jesus was supposedly inspecting all the churches, they were not the proper food at the proper time. They interpret Matthew 24:45-47 as a prophecy to mean God will appoint a "Faithful and Discreet Slave" to feed God's people. Below are ten questions you can use to ask a Jehovah's Witness or someone else who you are concerned is in a high control group. Now, these questions are designed to help your Jehovah's Witness friend to start thinking critically because they are become conditioned to rely on an organization to think for them.  These questions are not designed to just start blasting one after the other at a Jehovah's Witness. They way to use these questions is by genuinely asking them in a calm setting and allowing your friend to answer. Then, after you have asked these questions you can return to your friend's original answer and apply literature and information exposing the organization. The other day I called a Kingdom Hall in order to inquire about an odd statement I had read on the official Jehovah's Witness website [JW.ORG]. On one of their webpages titled, "What does it mean to be born again? What does the Bible say?" it stated that Jesus Christ was the first person to be born again. Now, I understand that Watchtower's definition of born again differs from the Biblical and historical definition. I also understand Watchtower teaches only 144,000 anointed believers can be born again. But, I wanted to ask whoever picked up the phone where in the Bible does it specifically state that Jesus was born again. After all, the Watchtower is supposedly Bible based ! Right? What ensued was an almost thirty minute conversation and why he needed to be born again. The following is my experience of attending a Kingdom Hall for five weeks straight. After each meeting and discussion with the Jehovah's Witnesses I wrote out my thoughts. I arrived earlier than last week but still late. Today there was another special guest, the Circuit Overseer. The Circuit Overseer of Jehovah's Witnesses is an elder that is appointed directly by the Governing Body, he travels from congregation to congregation "building up everyone spiritually" and speaks about how great the "preaching work is". Jane had told me his message was going to be on the Good News, which would help me with my questions. This morning as I was on my way to work I spotted two Jehovah's Witnesses. On the seat next to me was several old Watchtower publications which contained prophecies that did not come true. I thought for a moment if I should approach the two JW's and talk to them. I decided to pull over and park across the street from where they were walking. I carefully selected two books, put them in a shopping bag, locked my vehicle and headed toward the Witnesses. As I was waiting to cross the street I wondered why they were walking in an area where there were no people. In fact all of the stores they were walking in front of were closed. Also, in the opposite direction from where they were headed was a trolley stop with two bus stops. Why were they walking away from the people? I crossed the street and walked towards them. Several years ago when God saved me, I started street witnessing. I would go to a nearby bus/trolley stop and talk to people about Jesus. Many Jehovah's Witnesses would gather at this stop also. I prayed and fasted that she wouldn't. I thought she was too experienced, would see right through me and I wouldn't have an honest discussion with Jane. Those older JW woman can be very emotional and irrational. When I opened the door Wednesday I was surprised to see Jane's brother who is two years older than her. It is Sunday, I attended their Talk and Watchtower Study.  Last week on Wednesday I approached a group of Jehovah's Witnesses who were gathered in front of my apartment complex. I have never seen Jehovah's Witnesses in this area before. I was running two hours late and turned my car around to talk to them. For a second I thought that I would keep walking because some of them were on cell phones and seemed busy. However, I asked a group of them " What was the Good News of the Bible?" I engaged in a conversation with a young Jehovah's Witness and her brother, they are around my age.  I had tried to explain to them that the  Good News  they were preaching was not the Good News of the Bible. Last week I took a drive to the Kensington Heights area in San Diego California. Located near the end of a cul-de-sac is a beautiful home that is over 5,000 square feet. This home was built in 1929 by the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society, the Jehovah's Witnesses organization. The purpose of building the home is one different than the reason given today by the Watchtower Society. In the early twenties the Watchtower Society taught that Abraham. Isaac, Jacob, and the Old Testament prophets would come back in 1925 and rule as princes and live in Beth Sarim. While I was at work today, I looked out the window and two Jehovah's Witness women were walking by. Last week I had talked to two other Jehovah's Witness young women in the same spot. I asked a question about Jesus' Resurrection. The young girl (Alex) did not know how to answer my question, I gave her my number and she said she would research it and get back to me. She hasn't so far. A week prior I asked the same question to a group of JW's, I gave one, my number and address and she said she would call and visit me. She hasn't so far either. As a Christian my responsibility is to do God's will. Frequently I go to bus stops, trolley stops, special events and talk to people about their purpose in life. God has definitely given me a love for the lost including Jehovah's Witnesses. Every year Jehovah's Witnesses hold their annual district convention. While ministering on the streets I have come across many Jehovah's Witnesses. They take pride in being the only ones who know God's name and say that the central theme of the Bible is to sanctify Jehovah's name. It grieves me to see so many people deceived by these false prophets; the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society. At the end of May I decided to go to their annual convention and lift up the NAME of Jesus, who's name is above every name, whose name we will bow our knees to (Phil 2:9-10), and whose name we must believe on to have eternal life (1 John 5:11-13).
