Approaching Two Jehovah's Witnesses to Discuss Christmas and Their Double Standard

Happy New Year!

The day after Christmas I approached two Jehovah's Witnesses and asked them their reasoning for not celebrating Christmas. My goal was not to get them to believe celebrating Christmas is acceptable but rather for them to see how they carry a double standard.

Jehovah's Witnesses are quick to call out Christendom for its supposed false teaching and pagan doctrines. However, what is considered a false teaching for other religions is simply a mistake or error when it's taught by the Watchtower.

Secondly, if we take a look at the teachings JW's held during the time Jesus was supposedly inspecting all the churches, they were not the proper food at the proper time. They interpret Matthew 24:45-47 as a prophecy to mean God will appoint a "Faithful and Discreet Slave" to feed God's people. They currently teach the Faithful and Discreet Slave is their Governing Body. However, this teaching has changed over the years.
