The Mother God Church strikes again! Dad, where is mom?

Image
The Mother God Church strikes again! Dad, where is mom? That was the question a member of the World Mission Society Church of God asked me while I was shopping for pens in Walmart. The World Mission Society Church of God takes God and limits him/her to the abilities a human being. (P.S. God is not a woman.#sorrynotsorry) In this video I provide a few helpful tips when dealing with this cult and others while walking you through an encounter I had with a woman from the WMSCOG. It’s important to remember that the goal of a good cult member is not to convince you of truth but to conform you to the cult image. Which is one of the reasons this woman would not share with me the secret hidden prophecies of Jesus Christ (South Korea Jesus, not New Testament Jesus). I texted her after our little encounter in Walmart and she refused to share with me the truth that would save my soul! As someone who believes in evangelizing the lost (New Testament style), I could not imagine meeting someone ...

10 Questions to ask a Jehovah's Witness (or other cult member) to Help Open Their Mind

Image
Below are ten questions you can use to ask a Jehovah's Witness or someone else who you are concerned is in a high control group. Now, these questions are designed to help your Jehovah's Witness friend to start thinking critically because they are become conditioned to rely on an organization to think for them.  These questions are not designed to just start blasting one after the other at a Jehovah's Witness. They way to use these questions is by genuinely asking them in a calm setting and allowing your friend to answer. Then, after you have asked these questions you can return to your friend's original answer and apply literature and information exposing the organization. Now these questions also involve YOU doing your own research and finding the best information to bring into the conversation. 1. Do you believe the Bible was written to all people? Initially most cults would agree that the Bible was written to all people. However, after further research...

Telephone Call with a Jehovah's Witness: Jesus was Born Again?

Image
The other day I called a Kingdom Hall in order to inquire about an odd statement I had read on the official Jehovah's Witness website [JW.ORG]. On one of their webpages titled, "What does it mean to be born again? What does the Bible say?" it stated that Jesus Christ was the first person to be born again. Now, I understand that Watchtower's definition of born again differs from the Biblical and historical definition. I also understand Watchtower teaches only 144,000 anointed believers can be born again. But, I wanted to ask whoever picked up the phone where in the Bible does it specifically state that Jesus was born again. After all, the Watchtower is supposedly Bible based ! Right? What ensued was an almost thirty minute conversation and why he needed to be born again. In conversations like this one, there are always many directions one can take the conversation and considering it was a phone call their is the possibility the person will just hang up on you. As I...

The Problem of Evil

Written 12/15 The world is filled with many variations of suffering and pain, from mere accidents like tripping and twisting one’s ankle to catastrophes such as earthquakes and tsunamis, from bank robberies to mass murders, horrible events occur every day.  Some have not been able to reconcile the existence of such things with the existence of an all powerful, good and loving God. They therefore have concluded that such a Being does not exist.  However, I would contend that the existence of evil and the ability to recognize it actually is evidence that a good God does exist and there is an ultimate standard of how things should be.             The Bible describes God’s nature as being purely eternally good, loving and merciful. Psalm 119:68 reads, “You are good and do good; teach me Your statutes” Psalm 107:1 says, “Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His loving-kindness is everlasting” and finally in Psa...

The I Am Statements of Jesus

By Mike Oppenheimer (Let Us Reason Ministries) ( Articlesource ) Who do you say Jesus is? Jesus asked this same question to his disciples about what others thought of him and then asked what they thought of him. Jn.5:37: "And the Father himself, who sent me, has borne witness of me. You have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. ‘Jesus gives the source of his commission, which is from the Father personally. It is the Fathers voice and form they have not seen, yet Christ has. Christ who is called the exact image of the invisible Father is the voice that the people heard. He then says that they search the Scriptures in them you think you have eternal life but they testify of me."(v.39) The Son is said to be the eternal life with the Father. Are we to believe the Scriptures testify of only a human being and not God himself? In the end of the discourse Jesus says in vs.46-47 "If you believed Moses you would believe Me; for he wrote about me...

Did Jesus' Body Rot in the Tomb? Talking to Jehovah's Witnesses about the Resurrection of Jesus

Image
Here is a conversion of two Jehovah's Witnesses I spoke to recently. I approached them and calmly asked them what happened to the resurrected Lord's body. They both said that Jesus' body rotted in the tomb. Honestly, I was taken aback by this and just rolled with it. What they said is not official Watchtower doctrine, so it was quite bizarre. The official Watchtower doctrine is that Jehovah did not let Jesus' body see decay. But, Jehovah's Witnesses do teach that Jesus resurrected as a spirit creature and re materialized in different forms after his resurrection. When I approach JW's I always like to ask questions about not being able to reconcile two things: Something the Bible said and something the Watchtower said. I then ask them to explain it to me because I'm confused. They consider themselves teachers of the Bible, therefore they are more than willing to help! But, in their attempt to help they open themselves up to hearing an opposing opinion a...

Unwitnessing Jehovah's Witnesses

Image
I just had an amazing conversation with two Jehovah's Witnesses. I was not expecting to run into them today. I pulled up to the store and looked up to see them right in front of me. I couldn't say, "not today Lord." We talked for thirty minutes and by the end of the conversation I had told them that the Watchtower Society was a false prophet and the "Good News" they shared with me is a false good news (gospel). Still, they shook my hand and the man said that I was a nice pers on! Please pray for this couple, I really believe the Lord has been working on the husband's heart. Below is a video I did about Beth Sarim which is one of the organization's false prophecies and which I talked to the couple about. Also, if JW's ever come to your door and you're unsure of what to say, just LISTEN to the message they initially share with you. Book a "Bible Study" with them and when they come by ask them where in the New Testament do you ...
