Thoughts on 'Preaching the Gospel' vs. 'Fighting Abortion'

Opposing and exposing evil and consistently speaking on behalf of those who are dehumanized and destroyed in our culture is not contrary to the preaching of the Gospel. The Great Commission does not cancel out a Christian's responsibility to rescue those being led to the slaughter and God's command to love our neighbor.
In fact the Great Commission includes teaching others God's commands, "teaching them to observe all that I commanded you." God has commanded us to love and rescue the orphan, weak and oppressed, to stand against evil, love mercy, establish justice, correct oppression, and bring justice to the fatherless.
Preaching the Good News of Jesus Christ and rescuing my pre-born neighbor from death are not contrary but harmonious.
